Original size image showing

Hi I'm hoping someone can help,

When I upload a photo the correct size of the photo is displayed in a light box and then when you click on it a window pops up with the original sized image which is great.

But underneath the light box image, is the larger version of the image. I have tried resetting the max width and height to all difefrent variations and I have also adjusted the medium size.

I have also changed Save and display medium and large images to no, but then this reverts the the photo in the light box to the original size.

What am I doing wrong?

You might want to put a url to your install for us to comment but you need to save and display medium and large images. Your medium should be what size you set and the large image is what you set the max width height settings.

Yes I have changed these settings and I have re scanned the database after each change and the only difference I see is the size of the image in the light box changing.

How would I go about putting a url to my install?

I am really not sure what your trying to say your issue is which is why I say place a url. You would type the url here.

As far as how things work I will say.

9-11 The Game - - PhotoPost Photo Gallery

Thumbnails are created and if the image is over the medium threshold a medium is created. Now when you view the image like your doing above in that link your viewing the image on showphoto script your either viewing the medium or main(large) image. If it is the medium image then its clickable and the lightbox or popup shows you the main image.

Okay this is what mine looks like:

I would love for mine to look like the one you provided in the link. But I have no clue what I'm doing wrong.

Well for how to set things normally

thumbnail size 100 pixels

medium threshold 500 or 600 pixels

max width and height thresholds 1500 and 1500

You will need to rebuild all thumbnail and medium images under scan database your site just shows like reversed sizes.

I have done all of that but I'm still having problems with the larger original file being shown beneath the light box. Also the light box doesn't work like it does in the link you gave me. On my site it opens up in a new window but it's more of a pop up and not as sleek looking.

Your thumbnail setting is huge not 100 like I suggested.

These are the settings I have in the photo options:

Thumbnail image max width and height in pixels 100
Max allowable image width in pixels 1500
Max allowable image height in pixels 1500
Trigger medium graphic height and width 500

Or do I need to update the thumbnail setting elsewhere?

Okay so then what are your errors when you upload? If your images are not resized then you have issues and should be seeing errors on processing images.

If you hit edit image when viewing an image and hit REBUILD THUMBNAIL what happens?

When I upload the original size image is displayed underneath the light box.

I just hit the rebuild thumbnail on one image and its exactly the same size as the original.

You definately are not hearing what I am saying here. That is not the original image showing beneath that is a thumbnail.. That is your thumbnail. I even showed you that.

See thats a thumbnail which means your image processor is not working.

You must be missing the error that displays as you most likely have an issue with your servers image processor.

You can send us an admin login to see how you have things set and see what error we see.

Okay I think that would be best because clearly something is wrong somewhere. I have tried everything I can and nothing seems to be working.

Who do I send the details to? Yourself?
