Show categories in index with V8

I just upgrade to V8 and now the categories are not showing in index, where can I setup that ?

I have recent images and recent comments. I want all the categories with thumbnails as before.

The sidebar is showing categories in a small size with no thumbnai, but I want it as before, same structure as the forums have.

In your index options in admin choose to use the forum layout Your electing to use the gallery layout.

I see the Top Rated Images block in the sidebar has no images there. Is that the default now ?

Because having top images, the idea is to see the images, not the titles. How can I fix that ?

The top rated images never showed an image always a title and have not been changed just like top posters it is a link to the user name.
