PP8 RC1 Config File Issue

I downloaded and installed RC1 files and did a fresh install. I looked at the config-inc.php file prior to installing and the file indicated PhotoPost Pro Version Number $VERSION = "8.0". However after running the install script the version is detailed as PhotoPost Pro Version Number $VERSION = "7.0". So it appears the installer changes the version indicated during install.

Also I have errors after install.

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/gallery/forums/vb3.php on line 433

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 4228
I understand the error is likely because the /forums/ is not accurate as the forum is installed in the root. Re-running the install after dropping the database tables did not correct.

Where can I edit to correct the path to the forums? If that is in fact the issue.

Also I do wish to run PP8-RC1 because of the better integration with VB4 profiles, ect.... Is there a timeframe for the final release?

Thanks,

Your issue has nothing to do with a config file. Your issue is under the FAQ forum one of the common installation mistakes a user makes look here number 5.

http://www.photopost.com/forum/photo...solutions.html

Either you have not input the correct vb database when you specified the user database or on step 4 of install you did not enter the correct vb table prefix of your vb tables where asked.

Your issue is one of those absolute errors which makes it also very easy to spot.

Great I fixed the error just an underscore on prefix needed.

The question about the config file is uploading PP8 files and seeing VERSION = "8.0". detailed in the config file. After runniing the install it says VERSION = "7.0". The profile links point to the PP profile and not the Vbulletin profile which I think is an option for PP8? Is there a setting or is something going awry where the Version seems to change to 7 during install? Thanks for you assistance. Brian

How do I get the profile links in PP to point to the Vbulletin Profile. I think that is supposed to be possible now. Tnx

If you have followed the instructions and installed the vb4 plugins your profile links will go to the forum profile.
