Bulk or URL upload not working Ok, so when I upload a photo by selecting a file from my computer it works just fine. However, when I enter a url to a photo, it goes through the process then give the message photo uploaded successfully but no photo is there. For testing, i do an ls of my uploads directory in a loop to see what is in there as I upload photos. When I do a regular file upload, i see the image being dumped in there temporarily before finally moving to the data dir. When I do the upload from a url, no image ever gets dumped into the uploads dir yet I get a success message afterwards when it really did not upload anything. Any clue ??? Thanks |
well this all depends on what type of page your trying to get images fine. As long as you enter the url to a page that has full urls to images in regular image tags and those images are able to be grabbed they should be. |
For example, this link is to an image http://www.leicaimages.com/gallery/4...5302.SEQ.0.jpg nothing happens other than a success message. |
That is where your issue is. That feature is designed to look for image tags in an html page your trying to direct it to an image which is why it does not work. At least that is my recollection of that old feature in the software. It works as I am describing. |
when you say image tag do you mean a page that has code like < img src=" ....... " > |
Yes that is what I mean. |
