Fix special characters in URLs

How can I fix the URLS ?

Instead of this:
fotograf-edas-con-iphone/p1537-tom-e1s.html

Get this:
fotografías-con-iphone/p1537-tomás.html

Thanks.

well you can not special characters in a url ever that is why they do not display. You will notice any url on the net with special characters is converted into basically a format that works in urls.

PHP even has a function to handle this to make sure stuff passed in a url is correct

PHP: urlencode - Manual

I am not familiar with special characters in vbulletin but at any rate our titles are as they are displayed.

I did a test in vb4 and the phrase your talking about is actually this in a vb seo url

tom%E1s

take note special characters in urls may not be handled the same way between different products. That does not indicate a bug.

Nope, I ask because I know it works like that.

Title: Expresión regular
URL: vB4.1.2 Expresión regular

Title: Botón de Aplicar
URL: Botón de Aplicar

Title: Como hacer moderación de temas rápidos.
URL: vB4.1.1 Como hacer moderación de temas rápidos.

I can paste 1000 examples, but the thing is how to fix that in PP, I think its wrong and yes, it can be considered as a bug, because its not working correctly.

I am not using VB anymore, I am using Xenforo and its the same, the URLs there, displays correct.

¿Makes sense?

Just because we do not do things like another application does not constitute a bug. Photopost works differently than vb and vb works differently than wordpress and all 3 may work differently than vbseo. That point is that would not be considered a bug.

My example was meant to show that. I have never seen a site where special characters are shown in a url that goes against the standards. Different products may translate the characters into different display ways which are the differences you see in between the product. It is all different ways of doing things none of them wrong.
