Change integration from VBulletin to Xenforo

I have now the integration with VB and everything is working fine, but I need to change it to Xenforo.

I have this:

site.com (main site)
site.com/vbforum (vbulletin)
site.com/gallery (photopost)

site.com/xforum (xenforo)

What do I need to change so the gallery works now with xenforo and use that users ?

Thanks.

Thanks Chuck.

But that one talks about reinstalling the gallery on the same gallery.

I just want PP to stop the integration with VB and start using XF users. Not integrated for now, just user share and PP with its own skin, etc...

Can you please tell me what steps I have to follow to do that ?

Thanks.

You need to follow the steps outlined in the thread I linked if you want to switch an integration to a new forum for an existing gallery. There is only one way to do it.

Thanks Chuck, what i dont get is:

4. You reinstall photopost over top of the existing gallery database tables to integrate with xenforo.

Cant I just change the data for that in admin ?

Thanks.

Well, I just delete the usergroup table, continue to fresh install, all things happened and in next screen (step 4) there is no xenforo in the forum integration dropdown list.

The file xenforo.php is present into the forum directory.

What to do ?

Keep trying, no luck.

After deleting the usergroup database what should I do ?

Delete everything and upload it again ?
Just go to install ?
Change something in config-inc and config int ?
Anything else ?

Please advice, because after deleting and using install, its not working.

Thanks.

Just erased verything, uploaded all files again, after install I get this:

"We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later."

Heres exactly what I did.
1- remove usergroup from database.
2- remove all files from directory and just leave data and uploads directory.
3- upload all new files.
4- go to install.
5- Finish install.
6- Get the error.

During the instalation I got the mysql tables already exist, I ingnored that.

What do I have to do to make it work ?

Thanks.

Peter cant give support without info anything I say is a guess. Check to ensure that you have use forum style to yes under forum settings. As long as you are properly installed to integrate with xenforo and the use forum style setting is yes your site should look like this minus any header or footer.

If you can not login you have not properly installed the application to integrate with xenforo. That would be my response. I would suggest you recheck the tutorial I posted. Make sure the usergroups table was indeed cleared and you have reinstalled xenforo correctly. There should not be any mysql errors or displayed errors if everything is installed correctly. If you login and it looks like the username and password have been accepted but your not logged in then I would suggest you check the cookie settings in the database. In your browsers option menu under security depending on the browser you can view your cookies and determine things there what might wrong.

We do offer installation service if you wish our company to install the gallery properly.

Like I said without futher info all I can do is guess. You can place a url and a test user login if you want further comment but as long as you do as posted above you should be fine.

Usual culprits to not being logged in are

1. authentication works but not logged in. cookies settings are wrong.

2. you have reinstalled but there is a message

"We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later"

That usually indicates wrongfully inputting forum info maybe wrong table prefix or database info. It indicates that we can not grab the user info from the database.

Its 1- authentication works but not logged in.

Thats happening with the admin user I use to install xenforo, with my admin user imported, it says invalid login.

Both accounts work fine in xenforo.

How can I change the cookie settings if I cant login ?

For now I dont want to integrate anything, I want photopost to use its template, I just want to use the xenforo users.

Thanks.

I can not speak about imported users as that would deal with a product we do not make.
Nor do we really officially support a change in integration. I have tutorials posted and even a script that helps realign userids.

You can change cookie settings in the pp_settings table if they are different than what they should be.

You can also try a clean install of the gallery to verify it works with xenforo as I do know it works fine. I think you will find the gallery works fine with xenforo.

I would suggest your issue has to do with your switching. There but been at least two users whom have switched and have no issues so something is amiss in what your doing.

You need to post a url and test login if you want me to comment further.

Where can I get that "script that helps realign userids" ?

For what should I change the cookie in the table ?
I have .site.com in both Forum Cookie Prefix and PhotoPost Cookie Domain.

Thanks.

Cookies and Login Problems!!

http://www.photopost.com/forum/1285110-post2.html

If you want further help simply post a url and test login here for a regular user I can determine cookie things from that

Not a problem that is why I kept telling you to reinstall. There had to be something being missed.

Well it works but not completely, it keeps kicking me out until I logout, delete all cookies, login in forum, go to gallery and refresh.

After one hour, the same thing.

It seems its getting the cookies from the main site also...

I have this:
site.com (wordpress)
site.com/forum (xenforo)
site.com/gallery (PP)

How to fix that ?

I guess you do not understand what I have said several times now. I can link you the cookie tutorial again if you want me to. However if you want further comment you need to post a url and test login so I can actually login and see the issue.
