unrecoverable error after migration

Hello Photpost,

After moving a photopost installation to a new server we receive the dreaded "We're
sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later" error
message. Some pages load normally, such as the Search page, but the homepage of
Photopost (installed at the HTML document root) returns the unrecoverable error as does
the Admin login.

We have confirmed the server environment is not the issue as we can perform a clean
install and find Photopost to run as expected. However, migrating the files and
databases and updating the relevant config files results in the "unrecoverable error"
message.

Note that there are no PHP, Apache or other log file entries that would indicate where
the problem may lie. Our suspicion is that the problem may lie in the database but with
no indication of where.

We are confident that the problem is not:
- a file ownership or permissions problem
- an incorrect database table prefix

We have changed the license url from - had to remove the links to submit the post

Here are some of the server details:

Hosting Platform: Verio VPS Core w/cPanel
Server OS: CentOS 5 w/cPanel
WHM/cPanel: 11.30.5
Apache v2.2.21
PHP v5.3.8
MySQL v5.1.56
Photopost v7.1

Existing Installation:
Verio FreeBSD VPS: had to remove the links to submit the post

New platform:
Verio VPS Core w/cPanel:

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

FYI, I tried to include the relevant URLs as per the forum recommendation but the forum responds with the following message:

You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 15 posts or more.

My suggestion is when moving servers this is what you do.

1. Move all the files to the new server

2. Move the database to the new server.

3. Rerun the install script on the new server and go through an install installing into the same database and table prefix. Ignore duplicate mysql errors. You need to run through the install so that all details are correct.

unrecoverable error

Thanks, running /install.php corrected the error and the site is up and running.

BTW, the URL is iceclimbingphotos dot com
