Moving Albums Question

We are opening a new site and closing our old one,
We already set up the new site but was wondering can we move albums from the old site to the new site so the members do not have to reupload 100's of photos?

Not really how you want to do it.

To use an existing photopost on a new site you need to do alot of work.

1. transfer the photopost directory and database to the new server.

2. clear the usergroups table in the database

3. run the install script to install on the new server

4. If your photopost is older than the newest install you need to run the upgrade and run any upgrades from the old to the new.

well well basically what your doing essentially is moving your current gallery to a new server and running the install to reinstall on the new site so everything works. Also to consider old content I am speaking along the lines that if your integrated with vb on an old site you want to be integrated with the same vb on the new site as you want to keep your old photos comments and have those same users exist.

it can get complex.

if we do this it will only bring the albums and comments correct not the look of the old site? as the new site is diffrent look and such...all i want are the albums of only certain members whoa re moving over to the new site.

What I am saying transfer's content. Look and feel of the site would be up to you or the integration your using.
