I have a licensed version of photopost pro and vbgallery. I already have version 7.01 installed on vb 4.1.3. Everything works but as a registered user, moderator, super moderator or adminstrator you can not upload any pictures. I have checked the usergroups and such and cannot find the reason. The previous owner the site installed both of these products. I am a php newbie but with the right help I can figure it out. Check out the attached screen shots.

well it looks like maybe to me you have not uploaded all the correct 7.1 files and or ran any applicable upgrades if you recently upgraded.

If you upload all 7.1 files except the install and config files and run the 6.0 upgrades to 7.0 you should be okay.

I didn't do any of it...the previous owner of the site did it. If anything I will pay for a pro to install it. I only have the newer stuff I downloaded this evening.

well if I view the site on your license all I get is database error so it appears your forums are down.

You can check it out now Chuck...back up and running finally. When the previous owner finally turns everything over to me and I get ftp access on the host I will have you do a professional install and get it going. B=0

Yeah I see your forum is operational but no gallery yet.

bremereric December 2nd, 2011 10:56 PM

Alright I finally have it set up for you to install the software. PM me Chuck and I can get you set up for the install on my site.

If you are wanting photopost to install your gallery you need to purchase the install service from our online store in the upper right corner of the header above "Buy PhotoPost"

Great professional install. The good is that it is up and running now. The bad is that I have to learn a new piece of software. Thanks Chuck.

Chuck S December 6th, 2011 01:34 PM

No problem enjoy glad to help out.

bremereric December 6th, 2011 03:31 PM

Chuck since I am a photopost newbie I am very happy that it is up and running. One or two simple questions. If I wanted to tweek the number and size of photos and the text displayed underneath them in the Members Featured Photos on the Forum how would I go about doing that. I thought their might be a sytle or something I would have to edit?

Chuck S December 6th, 2011 05:36 PM

The members featured photo block shows the thumbnail so the size is going to be whatever it is on your gallery. As far as number or rows etc you can alter the actual plugin itself there are variables in the featured photos block under your photopost pro plugin in your vb admin plugin manager. If your trying to edit the forumhome_template to alter html in that block you do that under your style manager edit templates for that template name.

bremereric December 6th, 2011 05:48 PM

Okay How do I change my thumbnail size in the gallery?

PS I will help you get your post counts up to 70,000

Chuck S December 6th, 2011 06:03 PM

In admin => Upload Options set the thumbnail theshold

In admin => scan database use the rebuild thumbnails option.

bremereric December 6th, 2011 07:38 PM

That made them big enough for now I will do a little more tweaking later on.

Chuck S December 6th, 2011 07:44 PM

Yep thats where you specify thumbnail size ;)
