| Change # of images in gallery slideshow
Keep in mind that I'm new I have my gallery slideshow set up so that it is on the left side, but I don't like how far you have to scroll to get where the comments are. How can I either make it so that it shows fewer slides, or the size of the 7 slides it shows are smaller. I don't want the image size on my front page to change, just the slide image size to be smaller or only show 3 instead of 7.
Also, when I go to profile>comments>Most recently made comments section, I'd like the thumbnails there to be smaller in size but not affect the front page image size (Most Recent Image Section) is this possible?
I think both of these might be something I do in the Edit Templates section, but not sure which line I am looking for or which template I am looking for. Any help to a beginner would be appreciated.

I have no idea what you mean by on the left as the slideshow only shows one way. Your only option is whether or not to show headers or not. Other than that you would need to modify the code.

It gives me the option of the slideshow being on top, bottom, right or left, I have it on the left, but would like smaller slides or fewer slides.

Ah okay we are not talking the sideshow now it makes sense. Your talking preview thumb. There is no option to set how many thumbs. It is 7

ok, thanks, so since it is 7, is there a way to change the size of them so they don't take up as much space while leaving the size on the front gallery page the same?

You can change the size of your thumbnails under upload options in admin and then under scan database rebuild your thumbnails so they are smaller.

K, I did that on a few, just to try it, but that is making them small on the front page. Is there a way to leave them bigger (250x250) on the front page but make them smaller for the film strip?

No thumbnails are a global size.

OK, well another site I belong to with a PhotoPost gallery has no film strip but on the page under profile where it shows most recent comments made and most recent comments received, they are very tiny images (50x37) so wondering why theirs are so small on that page but still the larger size everywhere else. Mine are still the same universal thumbnail size on that page.

people do modify there code. for instance I can tell you maybe try altering the line below in showframe.php and showphoto.php Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
change it to Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
That will make them cat avatar size however this is considered a code modification. There is no direct product support for that in fact it can void your ability to receive product support and I will not offer any assistance regarding the change or outcome.

I understand that means we won't be supported, but I would really like to be able to change this number as my users like larger thumbnails, which break the template at 7 thumbnails across.

There are various discussions around one could try but we offer no support or assistance on the matter as that is a code mod. http://www.photopost.com/forum/1269498-post7.html |
