EXIF Question

My site doesn't have jhead installed, on the particular server I'm on. Is jhead required to have EXIF extracted for a photo, using PhotoPost?

Assuming it is required, is this extraction done on upload or when the photo is displayed? In other words, will previously loaded photos display EXIF, if jhead is installed after photos are uploaded?

Thanks, I'm talking with the hosting service to see if they can add it. It's on my other sites, with the same hosting company, but for some reason it's not on the server my newest site is on.

As to my second question, is the extracted data, taken on upload or on displaying the photos? I don't want to upload a lot of photos, if jhead must be installed before uploading.

exif info must be on a photo and we extract it on upload and also on older photos you missed if it still exists on the main photo under admin scan database info to check for exif
