Switching between Pro and VB Gallery

Hello,
I understand I can only run a single instance of either Pro or Gallery and currently have Pro installed on a production site. I would like to try Gallery to compare the user experience to Pro.

What is the cleanest way to do this? Install VBGallery in the same database in separate directory with a new prefix? To remove the product I will delete the directory with that product and delete the database tables with the cooresponding prefix?

From what I have read I think the Gallery intergrates more with the user profile with pics and information? Will PP8 close the gap on any differences that are a benefit to using PRO?

Thanks for your assistance. I understand there is a comparision chart but I can't really understand it fully until I can compare on production site

Yes you can test vbgallery and to delete it you do what you state

PPR will bridge the gap easy since it will integrate with the profile of vb etc and really its features always have and will surpass vbgallery
