No the normal post comment link works. You can remove $qcom from your showphoto template to remove the quick reply and users can hit post a comment to comment.

Exactly which show photo template ?
The one in the gallery/templates directory ?
The one in the vb4enhanced directory ?
Just 1 $qcom in all the document ?
More $qcoms ?
Any line in specific ?
Thanks.

You would go into your admin panel hit edit templates choose showphoto.tmpl and you can remove the $qcom variable at the bottom of the template.

I have this at the end of the file. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
So as I have $comq instead of $qcom I am wondering if I have something else bad in another place...
Please let me know how I should have that piece of code.
Thanks.

Well, now I see.
A little tiny menu that you can barely see and it displays options without any text, just little icons that you have to hover to see what they are for and not a single user will use or see.
I really need a fix for this issue to have comments as they are expected.
When will a fix for this issue will be posted ? VB update was out like 2 months ago, so all PP users have no comments at all until they see it like me, if not, they will have a not working gallery. So this fix is really necessary.
Any date for a fix ?
Thanks.

We will support the ckeditor when we have a chance to look into it which we are currently doing. There is no timeline. You can clearly comment on photos. 4.14 came out a couple weeks ago not 2 months ago as I just upgraded my site a couple weeks ago when it came out like the third week of June I beleive. The way vbulletin software is released now beginning with the 4.x series developers do not have time like they use to in the old days to support new things in vb. Thus if vbulletin changes something important you are going to see lags in other companies supporting new vb technology. We simply do not have sufficient time. I mean come on vbulletin changed there who posting interface in a .0x dot release. It was not in 4.13.

Hi. VB anouncement May 11. https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...m-4.1.4-Beta-1
Thats two months and 4 days, not two weeks. VB anouncement June 11 (final version). https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...e-for-download
Thats one month and 4 days.
As this product relies a lot in VB, I assume you the developers of PP, start using VB 4.1.4 science beta 1 announced in May 11, 2 months and 4 days to now. Thats why I said 2 months in the first time, because its over 2 months now.
Don't you test this science its out so your product don't have problems, like no comments at all ?
I really expect a fix for this like now, not in another 2 months, leaving users with a gallery that no one can comment unless the visitor its a developer and knows to search all the website to see options and then guess what a little icon under a hidden menu means. Then, he can comment.
That makes sense to you ?
So, this needs a fix and needs it quickly, not someday.
Please let us know a date for this, support your product and your customers as expected. Even free software fixes this type of things to have a decent and updated product.
There must be a way to just fix this issue and make comments work. Its an essential part of a gallery, not just a typo or something.
So please give us a date for this and look into a momentary fix that makes things work now instead of planning PP8 for september...
Thanks.

Peter vbulletin 4 is only one of twenty integrations we support. As with any development there can be no set date. We are looking at adding support for the ckeditor and are looking into it the last few weeks. When we support it we will post. The quick fix as you meantioned is what I have posted already. You disable the display of quickreply and use the normal editor which appears to function fine.
Our access to vb beta software is restricted to the same as normal customers now. .0x releases by software companies do not change things normally and we do not openly investigate every single release like that. Our attention has been focused on PP8 development. I have been looking into the quick reply issue since I was initially made aware of the issue 3 weeks ago.

Well Chuck ,this is well very basic.
I'am agreed with Peter that this time the solution for Vbulletin users is longer than usual.
In the past there where little updates when there was comming out a new version of Vbulletin.
I'am honest to you that I on this moment testing a new photogallery which support the new CKeditor, but I love the photogallery and the support what I have get in the past from you
But as Peter say users don't like it when they get errors when they use the gallery.
So I hope that there will be comming a timeline when photopost support the CKeditor.
I think it is not more than fare to let the Vbulletin users know what they can expect.
On this moment there is no support anymore for Vbulletin users which use Vbulletin V.4.1.4or higher.
The CKeditor must use for comments

Actually the main comment editor uses the ckeditor without fail. The issue is with the quick reply. The timeframe is no longer than expected with the new internet brands access to code for developers which was greatly cut down with the release of vb4. Remember I had 3 months to support for 3 of our 4 products when vb came out. vbGallery support for vbulletin 4 was not officially released till 9 months after vbulletin 4 was released.
Michael and I can only support new features as time allows. I have provided a rough working quick reply but that is the best we can do until we can work out all the changes with the new editor.

You would replace your quickcom40 template file in your templates vb4enhanced folder with this one. That should be the only place that file is located in our templates folder.
