Integrating it with Wordpress

I am trying to add Photopost Pro to Wordpress (I\'ve seen Chuck\'s post... I\'d provide the URL on this forum, however I am being blocked from doing so-- the url after photopost.com is forum/photopost-announcements/143973-wordpress-login-integration.html

Are there directions anywhere?

Chuck S June 26th, 2011 11:07 AM

well what are you trying to do? I mean what is your question.

You would install our product entering all the correct information asked on step 4 is where you pick your integration type and select wordpress.

we integrate with the wordpress login only.

Ooops, okay. I haven\'t tried to install, but I read the directions and guess I missed that I will pick the integration type and Wordpress would be listed. Didn\'t know if there were different directions for Wordpress.

No installation instructions are pretty straight forward under the support tab in our site header and the install script is organized on what it asks so it is easy to follow.

Can photopost integrate with both wordpress and vbulletin at the sametime?

Chuck S August 26th, 2011 09:00 AM

An integration bridge is written for one application. We integrate with vbulletin or wordpress etc. it is much the same in any type of bridge.

I want to have it integrated with WordPress also this is the idea.

VBulletin has the users.
Photopost uses VBulletin users.
Wordpress uses Photopost users.

Possible ?

It only needs a WordPress plugin to make it happen and Photopost will be a lot more attractive to millions of WordPress users.

Thanks.

Peter integrations do not work like that there has to be a central user source. There are no photopost users in your example as the users are vbulletin users.

Photopost can integrate with the wordpress login from the wordpress user database that is a supported integratation.

Now in your case above you might need to check out the wordpress to vbulletin hack or mod thats out there. I beleive there is one.

There is one out that is not working anymore, if you can share one, awesome.

If you make a plugin as I mentioned, you will sky rocket sales for PP, its a really cool integration and solution.

If PP already is able to use VB users, you can easily make a plugin for wordpress that uses the same users as PP.

If anyone else can share a solution for this, I will really appreciate it.

Thanks.

As I stated we support both products but you need to integrate with one product. You are integrated with vbulletin. Our product is not going to integrate with two separate user databases at one time.

My comments where about a vb mod. I heard there was a wordpress integration with vbulletin you can use and you would need to investigate that at vbulletin.org or where ever that mod is located. I have no first hand knowledge of the mod as I have never seen it.

It is theoretical if there is a wordpress to vb mod that uses the vb database like ours does and recognises the vb cookie then all 3 products should work together.
