IP Board 3.1.4

Hello, I've had VB for awhile, well I finally moved to IP Board. Installed photopost pro and select IP board for integration and my gallery is white. Not the style of the forum. Where are installation instructions for integrating PP with ip board? I see all the VB instructions and the site here says works with IPS community. But I must be missing something

Thanks

well posting a url would help us assist you.

Also no need to bump anything as your post is not even 11 hours old and it is the weekend and we all sleep.

I would definately suggest you make sure you export any invisionboard styles you have to files. We load the invisionboard stylesheet so they must exist on your site. If they do not exist then there would be no classes to load and thus no colors to apply.

Sorry, their site is not 'live' yet and they do not wish to have their url public yet. Can I pm it to you?

Thank you, but export them to where? I did not see any of this in the instructions/ installation readme page. I'm quite confused again here.

Invisionboard should have tutorials on there software and how to export styles to disk. It is under the style admin menu in invision I beleive. I do not run there software so can not say for sure.

I would definately need to see a url etc so you can email it though the company contact link in the header.

well simply because we would not have tutorials on how to operate software we do not make. The install instructions would simply be how to install our product.

I understand. I'm saying the integration of photopost says 'works with IP Board'. I click the IP board 3 integration button and it does not work.

Right which is why we are here. I am merely answering your questions. You asked why we do not have install instructions on how to operate invisionboard admin stuff and I answered.

Thank you Sir, but why doesn't my classifieds not have the header and footer or look of my forum? It has the color and that is really all. It looks kind of jumbled.

Thank you much

We do not make any claims of pulling any header or footer in Invisionboard only user login and style colors. I guess you got spoiled using vbulletin. vbulletin is the only forum we ever had enhanced integration with.

You would need to make a mocked up html header that matches your forum. You can view your forum header for ideas on the html you want.

I see now, Well when I went to the photopost classifieds page it says>>>

"Add a full-featured user-to-user classified ads system to your website to connect buyers with sellers. No matter what your users interestes may be, they likely want to buy and sell items related to your site's topic, and PhotoPost Classifieds makes it easy.
PhotoPost Classifieds is designed to integrate seamlessly into your current site design, and can even use your existing forum user database (if you have one) for one central login."

I knew photopost pro worked with our vb board SEAMLESSLY. But, nowhere in your ads does it say *Does not use headers or footers. I'm not trying to call you out on this. You have an awesome product. I just wish there was no hidden problems. Because like I said before. Your ads say work with VBulletin.. IP Board communitys ... ect.
It really does NOT work seamlessly with ip board otherwise we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Is there anyway I can get my money back because, as awesome as classifieds is. It's useless to me and Our ip board 3.

Thank you

Well it is all in your definition of seamless. Seamless can be described as an integrated login or even stylesheet integration which we do do.

Our site has always been very specific on what levels of integration we support with what forum.

What Integrations we support!!

I would say it works seamless with your invisionboard based on what I am seeing on your site and what we claim to support integration wise. We claim to support user login and stylesheet integration.

We do not claim to integrate with custom hard coded style templating or header footer integration which is enhanced integration and only one forum do we pull headers
footers etc. That is vbulletin.

Running vbulletin as long as you have your like most people spoiled. Seamless does not mean automatic. Seamless means you can configure things to match most any design. It does not matter whether its a standalone style and your matching colors from your custom pages to ours etc. If we support user login and style integration like in your setup you would still need to place whatever header footer over the classifieds or gallery that you wish.
