MySQL 5.5?

Would upgrading to mysql 5.5 and php 5.3 cause any issue with PP?

I will ask Michael if he has tried that but the most precise answer right now is I can not say. My server is only mysql 5.2 and php 5.3

To my knowledge as long as your mysql is not in strict mode you should be okay.

You'll see on vb.com that IB staff is actively promoting (in blogs and posts) the use of MySQL 5.5 due to its performance benefits. See the performance blogs by Anders and various posts by Anders / Eva2000. So the use of MySQL by vbulletin boards will likely increase.
