Unhappy Customizable header/footer

The path to the site header (and footer) is specified through admin panel and recorded in the database.
I would like to have a different header for my users instead of the one for the main site. What I need to know is how photopost calls the path in order to display the header and footer? Please give me as many details as possible, such as what file calls the path, how the call is made etc., so I can customize it.

Thank you

well our header footer system is only used in non vbulletin installs. what is your site integrated with so we can properly answer your query.

If its a vb install then you most likely are going to have to do some code modification as we pull the forum header.

The site is integrated with SMF2.

Still the question is how photopost calls the path in order to display the header and footer and where can we find that. That will help us a lot. Thank you.

Your server path is displayed under your config portion the pp_path

It could be something like this

/var/www/html/gallery

If you create put a path like

/var/www/html/gallery/header.htm

Then the header would be loaded. I can not tell you what our specific path would be that would be whatever your server path is its different for everyone.

To use a header or footer you would do as instructed above. That requires you to actually make a header and footer file. Are you trying to ask about code modification if so that is what the mod forums are. You can look at the pp-inc.php file for any functions for the header and footer but I can not discuss any type of code mod here.
