| Categories - Formatting Strangly
Ok what I want to do is allow my members yo make subcategories in the members area. So I have it setup as follows
Depth of Categories - 4
Members Specific Categories
- Act as Category (Yes)
- Act as Members' Category (Yes)
A member now creates his Category as members name. Then he creates subcategories within his category.
If I check in the admin CP the structure look like it should however if I look in the actual category you see the members name in the "Members Specific Categories" area. Click on the members name into his area and you will see his name again plus the subcategories. If you click on his name again you will then see his subcategories under his name again. Here is the link to this area http: //triumphtalk.com/ gallery/ browseimages.php?c=28 (had to breakup the link as I cannot post links)
Also see attached images.
So what am I doing wrong that it turns out like this |

I have just noticed if I click on the members name from the top structure of the gallery I will go straight into that members gallery and the structure would be what I would have expected it to look like. See attached images. However as in first post above if I click through from the "Members Specific Categories" then I have the doubling up of the members name and the subcategories.
Chuck I am at a loss about this so if you want to have a look you still have all the login details from when you installed it the other day.

Another thing I have just noticed is my thumbnails in the following are all corrupted
Random Images from TriumphTalk Gallery on forum home are a mess
Random Photos and Newest 5 Images in gallery the names fall behind the image.
I have now turned the gallery off.
Now that I have turned it off when a member click on the gallery menu item they just get a white screen looking like the attached as well
I have now disabled PhotoPost in Plugin & Products System
Further to the above I was getting complaints that the forum had slowed down considerably and now since I disabled PhotoPost it is back to our normal speed.

Okay lots of info so let me try and go through one by one.
Members Categories display a certain way by name. You can assign whatever categories you wish to allow subcategories created by members. You can assign which groups can access that category so setting up a vb subscription and proper usergroups permissions should allow that to work but needs you to set things properly.
Nothing about how your describing how submember categories display is an issue thats how its designed your attachments look fine.
I can not comment on broken thumbnails without seeing your product but I am not going to go and turn it on without you saying so. I can not assist with it off.
Now just an FYI as far as speed thats a totally general issue which can be caused by alot of things. You can easily disable the display of gallery things like image blocks etc without disabling the gallery itself.
By the way I did check your gallery admin settings someone with admin access went in and like messed with all the settings removed thumbnail sizes and qualities etc which is probally causing your issue with images.

Your gallery works fine with the proper settings placed in the image thresholds and thumbnails rebuilt

Ok but it still seems very strange how the structure works when you do subcategories, thanks for having a look at it for us. I will work on it again in the morning and setup the rest of the categories for the members

well like I said just make sure if you want things to operate properly that whomever was playing with the uploading options does not do so again. All the settings where cleared.
Your gallery shows fine now if you see the gallery as I have activated the product however your gallery is still turned off. turn it on when you want. Right now you as admin are the only one who can see it. Nothing is going to show on your forum till you activate the gallery since its closed right now.

You can set more upload prompts in the upload section under vbGallery admin settings.

You can administer your site as you wish. I said to make sure whomever emptied out all your settings like what had happened and caused your upload and thumbnail issues that they not do that again. |

I can only tell you what I saw.
When the application was installed everything worked fine we both know this. I always do test uploads. You where even fine for a day or so also. You posted about your issue and what I found was what I reported. Someone had cleared out alot of the upload settings which of course caused display and image creation issues. Once those settings where fixed things where fine and your site works.
