Just moved server...

from Site Manager to CPanel.

Move went well and all seems to work OK, except that when you click on an image to get a full size view of it, the full size image doesn't come up, just a missing image symbol.

Any ideas what we've done wrong?

Probably something silly knowing us!

How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories

That should help. If your using an overlay watermark make sure you have updated the watermark path.

I actually found this thread and went through it step-by-step whilst moving the forum, and also went through the whole thing again when enlarging the image didn't work. All steps seems fine.

Any other suggestions?

How about your watermark path if your using onthefly watermarking?

I would need to see the site for a more indepth answer.

Yes, already checked the path to the watermark, and it's working fine.

The website is A community photo gallery - The Vincent H.R.D. Owners Club Photo Gallery

An example of when you can see the problem with enlarging an image is Message - The Vincent H.R.D. Owners Club Photo Gallery

well you prevent guests from seeing any content on your site so again all I can do is guess at any issue since I can not see it.

However your issue has to be something I have already meantioned. If you are having trouble with large images showing your issue can only be a bad watermark or bad storage options path. Those are the only answers of that I am sure.

You must be a registered user to view images!

To register click on the REGISTER button in the menu above.
That is what I get. Like I said your issue can only be very few things if your thumbnails and medium images show but large ones do not.

1. Your storage options are incorrect.

2. Your watermark path is incorrect and your using on the fly watermarks.

If you are 100 percent sure your storage options are correct then try turning off the on the fly option. If your images show then you have confirmed your watermark path was wrong.

Hi Chuck

I've switched off the 'on the fly' option and still had the same problem.

I've just 'triple' checked my storage options and they appear to be fine...

Current PATH setting: /home/thevince/public_html/photos/data/
Default PATH setting: /home/thevince/public_html/photos/data/
Current URL setting: http://www.vincentownersclub.co.uk/photos/data
Default URL setting: http://www.vincentownersclub.co.uk/photos/data

Any other suggestions?

Graham

PS - by the way, my watermark is stored in a different place to normal (/home/thevince/public_html/voc_specific/photopost_watermark/voc_roundel_mono.png) but the path is correct, so wouldn't think this would make a difference?!

That may make a difference depending all I can do to this point is guess.

As I have stated I can not see anything on your site still so it is hard to comment on your issue without seeing the problem. The issue you have described I have stated the only issues that I know of that can cause that.

HMM all your images are showing fine. Maybe your talking about when you hover over your medium image it disappears. is so it might be the zoom feature images which I suspect are not showing on your site.

If you turn off the zoom thing do things work fine.

OK, I've carried out a bit more investigation. I've also disabled the zoom feature.

Navigate to this link then click on the medium sized image to get a larger one and the enlarge image feature seems to work OK. piston rim failure - The Vincent H.R.D. Owners Club Photo Gallery

However, navigate to this link and it sort of gets there, but not quite.

P6230028 - The Vincent H.R.D. Owners Club Photo Gallery

As an aside, I've noticed that the little animated bar and the close box didn't work properly, so I edited lightbox.js and changed the variables to...

var fileLoadingImage = "/home/thevince/public_html/photos/images/loading.gif";
var fileBottomNavCloseImage = "/home/thevince/public_html/photos/images/closelabel.gif";

Still no good though!

Thanking you in anticipation of your help!

You would use urls in the lightbox script not server path for one.

If you disable lightbox and use the regular popup does that one image load? Maybe a conflict with the actual lightbox script. Not much I can do about that but lets narrow it down.

Changed the server paths to URLs and that all works fine now.

Tried disabling Lightbox, but it made no difference.

I've left the Lightbox integration 'off' so you can see the result.

Your missing the actual main image so did not transfer from your old server you can try rebuilding thumbnails under scan database in admin and it will delete images that do not exist.

I've just tried that, and it ended up deleting most of our images!

I've still got our old server available.

What's my best way forward from this?

restore a backup of your photos table.

recopy your data directory to the new server.

Your missing images so yes if you try and rebuild an image and it does not exist we will properly delete it from your gallery.
