Host disabled exec - any way to extract EXIF without jhead (without changing hosts)?

Chuck,

I'm on URLJet, and when performance lagged, they moved me to a different, newer server. Problem is, they disabled exec on the newer servers in order to "harden up security"), so members uploading images got the following error:

Quote:
Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in [path]/gallery/image-inc.php on line 91
After searching on this site, I figured out what was going on and made the necessary changes to get rid of the error: 1) Disabled EXIF extraction; 2) Cleared path to Path to jpegtran; 3: Cleared Path to jhead.

The error message is gone, but we are left without EXIF extraction. My sites are photography forums, so EXIF extraction is a big reason we went with Photopost Pro in the first place. Is there anything I can do other than to change hosts? My host won't enable exec on the new server.

Thanks,
Amin

there is no support for this since php's exif function is buggy but if your php has exif support enabled you can try this file edit

Thanks, Chuck. I think we'll just stick with no EXIF, as much of a bummer as that is.
