VB style integration with Forums on separate server

Appreciate some assistance to setup VB style integration where the forums are on a separate server from the PhotoPost gallery.

We have tried various permutations of the config-int.php and it is currently set for :-

Content visible to verified customers only.

When the VB3_INTEGRATION flag is set to ON in the file, the server throws up a "Server Configuration" error.

You can not use enhanced integration when things are on different servers since being able to access the forum files requires they both be installed on the same server.
