It definately did from what I saw.
That is exactly what I did turned off uniform thumbs rebuild thumbs and issue was fixed.
I then replied and told you what you did.
Of couse you never gave a site url. I just assumed it was this one

Your issue is resolved from what I see. Use another overlay if you do not like that one that your using. Use a slightly larger thumbnail size if you dont like the look with that specific overlay. Or rather use a slightly rotated thumbnail if your going to use a rotated overlay
Point being is you are the one who is using that specific overlay and then not liking it.
