| Lightbox Settings
I just don't get the lightbox settings.... according the the search results, I am not the only one but after reading through them, I still don't get it.
I want my "Main" photo to be 600px wide and 600px height max and any photos larger than that, get the lightbox when clicked. What do I set to accomplish this? Seems like the lightbox setting should be in the upload section (even though it does not technically have to do with uploads, they work off of each other).

Lightbox has nothing to do with uploads. Lightbox is used under showphoto script hense it is in the showphoto options in admin. Now you can set whatever upload thresholds you want under upload options but they have nothing to do with lightbox settings.
Under your showphoto options if you want to use lightbox both the use big popup window and use lightbox options need to be set to yes. You would then say place 1200 under width and height for lightbox thresholds and save
You can then view a photo and see lightbox I would think.

You have to actually have a medium image Steve thats your issue. Looks to me like your not creating a medium image and your max image dimenstions are 800x600
Under Upload Options try making your medium size like 500 and save. Then rebuild mediums under admin scan database options.

I use the lightbox on my default vb4 gallery setup so I doubt there could be an issue there. Example below c2 - ReefTalk Gallery
It would have to be some java conflict I suspect so what is custom about your install? Anything in the vb4 header any custom java code?

All plugins are off in vb admin panel?
If you turn off the enhanced vb integration it works?
If so then there has to be something in your specific setup in vb a plugin etc that is conflicting with lightbox. Maybe your custom style.

Steve there is a limit to what I can support about that external code as it is not photopost code it is code outside our application meaning software not written by us.
We know the issue is a conflict with something directly related to your specific vb install. Turning off the vb enhanced integration proves this. Nothing changes about lightbox whether your integrated with any forum or not its all the same. Basically to run lightbox on a page its as simple as adding a javascript and css lightbox file in your page and any image that has a lightbox click has rel="lightbox" in the link line for the image. Your site has all that whether your loading vb or not. I checked that out.
I would suggest you disable all plugins in vb and remove any javascript or anything custom you have done if you really want to diagnose what java is conflicting with lightbox.

Can't hook into vb's lightbox to maintain consistency when using integration? (now meaning now but perhaps a future feature).

Steve I know nothing about vb's lightbox feature. I know the lightbox works on any other vb4 site I have viewed as well as my own. Your issue as I said seems to be a conflict with something else your including in your page basically it nullifies the lightbox.

Our other site is doing the same thing... (no lightbox). I noticed you are not running the latest vb on your site... I am so is it possible that is causing it? I have only 1 third party script and I removed their js calls but still no lightbox with vb integration.

I would like to be able to use Lightbox on my site but I have never been able to because of the known bug in it that displays the word "null" bottom left on pictures.
I just checked and Lightbox worked fine on my vb4 site.. but as before the null still shows.
Your site also displays this for me, and your Lightbox looks like the attached screen capture to me in IE8. This seems to mean the link to the close graphic also needs correcting.
There is a fix for the "null" problem as the script is now up to version 2.04 it seems, and among the list of fixed faults is the "null" being displayed. There seems to be more to it than just switching scripts though as other items are now needed.
I wonder if you can release a way to fix this up on Photopost?
Regards,
Steve

All I can do is make a note of it for future releases as Michael is not looking at updating any other features in the program till we update the actual UI.

If there is a new version/UI in the works that would be wonderful and of course well worth waiting for and putting minor stuff to one side for.
I wish you and Michael all the best with any major update you can produce.. personally I am deadly keen to see Photopost move forward and I'll be happy to shell out for something swish and new when its ready.
All the best,
Steve

Yes PhotoPost Pro 8 is being worked on and the main central focus is updating the UI.
