Mysql backup

I was trying the mysql backup command in Pp 6.2

I changed the path and I see the file is created but it is 0 bytes

Warning: comments.sql is 0 bytes or did not get created.

what can this be?

I see the command is
Code:

With no space from -u to username and -p to password

could be an issue your version of mysql is not allowing that backup type or the server. basically we are issuing a basic ssh command to backup a database.

If you use that command via ssh does it work?

how are you executing it from command line on the server if your not using SSH?

at any rate if you execute it are actual backups done not 0 byte files?
