Is there a maximum number of categories?

Chuck,

I have a huge amount of categories (thousands). Is there a limit to the number allowed? After entering around 10 more from my current list, the whole database is messed up until I delete the new categories.

I'm trying for the 3rd time to see if it will happen again...

There is no limit to the number of categories and cant really respond unless you explain in detail your issue.

Chuck if it happens again I'll post screenshots, basically the gallery 'flips out' and on the main page (Images of Coins, Banknotes and Postal Orders - Coin, Banknote, and Postal Order Images) all the categories are blanked out and no images load... will keep you updated.

Thats easy turn off your category cache in global options. If your using the cache I could see caching too many cats could cause an issue with a cache system. There is only so much data an array can contain without causing issues.
