How do i add adittional fields to chilldrem
 

Hi,

I tried to add several extra fields creating them on parent and mark "Check box to apply these settings and permissions to all children", but nothing, the children don´t have the extra fields.

thus, I added them on parent and later I created the several children but de children don´t have the extra fields.

I don´t know how to create extra field on several children at the same time.

By the other side; y don´t know what I change to change the colour of de attachments and traslate the text pointed...

If you create an extra field on a parent and check the apply to all children then it will create extra fields on all the existing children. It will not however create extra fields on categories you create under parents after the fact.

You can try my cathead template and see if that helps your issue

With your cathead template the attachment two was fixed. In order to fix de issue with attactment one, I change de memberhead template adding the same changes. I attachment what i change and the result.

I dont´t know what i change to resolve the translation in the attacment.

I have the same problem to add extra fields from parent to childrem; the "Extra Text Field #1*" yes inherit to childrem but not "Add a new field type:". I don´t know how asign the field type to a "Extra Text Field". I want create a new dropdown field to childrem but not a text field.

Finally, Is there something i can do to change the album and profile fields or change theirs titles??

There is no problem with my templates as you can see so however your copying and pasting code has to be your issue.

1º) I dont´t know what i change to resolve the translation in the attacment.

1. thats a bit vague there are many attachments here which is why this thread is hard to follow. what do you mean by this? You can edit language phrases in the program through the languages/english.php file.

Those are in the actual sort table in the database

2. You must use the additional extra field functionality in the cat editor and when you create that field in the cat editor on a parent you must add to children feature then. It will not work as I said on additional fields that already exist because those are stored in external tables.

3. There are no add fields in albums or profiles sorry

Of course it works with the additional extra fields I have tried works fine. It is most definately copied to the children. Like I said though it CAN ONLY be done when you initially create that additional field.

You would have to view your database tables in your web panel etc and translate those sort table phrases directly.

As far as translation, I´ll try it like you said and I´ll tell you.

As fas as inherit the extra additional field type to childrem, I try to do that you said (With new "additional field type") but nothing; the extra field don´t inherit...
