| moving to new server woes
i have followed this thread How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories
i have moved over the directory but i have not chmod them yet as i am confused. I ma using filezilla and wondering if i could get help. i paid for getting it all setup last time. i have also moved my db over and vb works fine. Just the gallery does not. I am unable to log into gallery also.
i have edited the config files - both
from there i am unable to continue.

If you need us to do an install you would purchase an install service. I work for the company I can not take money on the sly to help outside the company channels.
changing directory permissions are like this no big secret PhotoPost PHP Photo Sharing Photo Gallery Installation Guide
As long as you changed your server paths before you moved in the database as noted in that thread and then you moved everything to the new server edit the config files with all the new proper info and server paths you should not have any issues.
You script should be working if that thread is followed. It is very very extensive and clear. I really can't suggest anything to help you in a support manner unless you tell me what your actual problem is. Site urls work also so I can see where your at.

Well yes as that tutorial suggests there is lots that you have to do before moving so your urls and server paths etc etc are all different so it has to be properly reinstalled elsewhere. vb is easy to move it is not dependent on server paths etc like a gallery.
If you want us to perform the install you would need to purchase an install service.

You can move and reinstall without loosing anything installing into the same database and tables you have moved essentially the install will update all paths urls.

thanks chuck for installing this on the new domain. Just one slight issue. If you go to gallery when logged out there is not styling or anything. Really a mess.

I am logged out and see your gallery without any issues. Where you maybe setting the gallery default style to come old missing style? Under vb admin panel your default style should be essentials_x I beleive if we are talking your site.
I suspect here you found your issue and corrected that.

It would be an install service $59.00 an upgrade is for a working copy not one we need to reinstall.

if you go here and are not logged into the forums CG- HQ Community for Maya, 3dsmax, XSI, and Zbrush
the paged is messed up ...then i can not login but if i go to my forum home and login things work fine.
how much to troubleshoot just that ..since that is only thing off. Not sure why. This is what i tried to explain before.

Suggest you edit your vb standard error templates any relative urls to full urls.
You are using our latest code right?
