change Default thumbnail layout? within a category

I just went into the admin area and decided to set all my categories where we upload the POTW, POTM etc winners and set it to thumbnail/with title
I was expecting it to work and below is still how it looks.
How can I change the default view for these categories?

I see thumbnail with titles which is how it should display with what your telling me above.

hmm, I'm not seeing that.
I also see all the info below each photo i.e.

User: ContestWinner
Views: 52
Date: Sat, February 20, 2010
Filesize: 115.0kb
Dimensions: 640 x 532
Comments: No comments

its that part I want to not see

clear your browser cookies I beleive you have a thumbsonly cookie set.

Hi Chuck, I did clear the cookies and it seemed to work, however....
The change in viewing I did was only for POTM category as a test before I went to change it for the other winning categories.
I just went to view the current contest entries, and now it too shows only thumbs and titles?
I'm thinking this is now set for all members to view it this way when it was not my intention. help

Did you set the other categories to thumbnail with titles only you can check that under admin edit categories
