| How do I create a Category
I am having trouble working out how to create a category. See on my gallery ( A community photo gallery - Exhibition Poultry Forum Photo Gallery ) where it says Fowls & Bantams, how do I create a category like that for the Waterfowl plus any oehter I want to add. I have logged in as Admin, gone to Administration, then went to Edit Categories then clicked on Add Top Level Category. When I do the permissions I set the parent to none but still it comes under Fowls & bantams.

Choose create a top level category and then simply set where it says contains images to NO. That is how you create that category top level you are referring to.

This is what I have tried. I log in to the admin panel, I go down to Edit Categories, I Click on Add Top Level Category, I enter a category name then click on add category. When I am in the photopost category editor I have the Contains Thumbnails set to no and parent set to none then i go to the bottom and save changes. I seem to be doing something wrong somewhere, what would it be.

I see no categories on the link you have above that are contains no thumbs. They seem to be all uploadable to. You would have to recheck your categories because if contains thumbs is set to no then there will be a bar on the catname.

Just A quick ? Chuck, did you do any changes at all as it didn't look like that before I made my post today unless there was a delay in the changes taking effect.
I can see from my Admin log that some one has made changes. I didnt want all of them as a category, just wanted to know how it was done so i can work out what ones I want as a category.
It looked way better how it was before.
I just went through and turned thumbnails on them all for now till i work out what ones i want as a category.

If you set thumbnails is NO then it has a blue bar that is how it works so all I did was make a change to make sure how it is suppose to work worked. There is a style called tdnothumbs which in your integration is suppose to be the same as menubar. In yours style integration it was probally not even mapped. Like I said whichever style I think you have has an issue with maybe remapping forum styles to our product.
Your issue with using the default code is you are setting multiple levels upon multiple levels to NO THUMBS which really no one does. The no thumb is simple there to create a category break. A container if you will.
