| Voting has started
Having nothing but trouble with PhotoPost contests. Not a happy customer. At all.
We're running two contests at once. Enabled voting on one. Somehow voting got enabled also on the other one.
Tried resetting the one that should not have voting enabled (yet). Contest says "Voting has ended."
How do I reset the contest so that voting has not yet begun?

You can reset votes on any content and end or start voting on any category that is setup to do contests. Voting can not get enabled on some other category when you do it on one. I can say that with absolute certainty. Look at the code below. You can only enable disable or reset votes from the voting panel for the ONE category your in. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

You would need to actually refresh your actual page.

Hit refresh on your browser. Johnny you will not refresh a page display in a browser until you actually refresh or leave that page.

How do we get rid of that message so that people do not think that the contest has ended?

so what your telling me is you hit enable voting and refresh your browser or leave and come back it says voting has ended? That would be not what I am seeing
My suggestion would be to use unaltered unmodified code and the latest code we use. The votehead template when I look at it clearly the message shown is the one that is suppose to show based on what takesvotes is.
This is what I see when voting is enabled Quote:
Voting has started.
You can only vote for one image in this category.

Bottom line is THE CONTEST IS STILL OPEN and we need that bloody "voting has ended" message to go. Please tell me how to get rid of it. Thanks.

If voting has ended then voting has ended hit start voting.
If one of your admins hit end voting or you then thats your issue voting has ended.
If I go to a contest and hit start voting then the wording changes to what I posted above.

Let's try this again.
1. The contest is in progress.
2. Someone accidentally hit start voting.
3. I fixed this by clicking end voting and reset vote counts.
4. A message appears saying "voting has ended" along with the Enable Voting End Voting Reset Vote Counts links. WE DON'T WANT THE "VOTING HAS ENDED" message!
5. MY QUESTION: How do we get rid of the "Voting has ended" message?
Thanks.

Johnny I have explained how the program works a few times here
Hit START VOTING if you want voting to start to appear.
Hit END VOTING if you want the the message is voting has ended.
This tells the admin whether the contest is open or closed. Based on what your posting you ended your content therefore it should say voting has ended. The message is not going to change until you hit start voting.
If what I am reading is correct there is no problem with your program. You said you hit end voting. I do not see where you say you hit start voting again.
Instead are you trying to ask a code mod question in the support forums?
If thats the case you can edit your votehead template

Okay, here's the question put another way: How can I reset the entire contest? That's what I need to do, evidently, to get rid of that message. Is that possible?

Johnny lets go through this one more time so you understand.
Only admin sees the voting control panel.
If voting is closed it is always going to say voting has ended.
You can enable voting then it is going to say voting has started.
You can clear votes anytime you wish using the clear votes link.
The point I have made before here is if voting is closed or ended you are suppose to see that message. There is no getting rid of that message as that is the correct message that is suppose to be displayed unless of course you modify your code.
One of two messages is displayed depending on whether a contest is open or not. If you see voting has ended then you ended the contest.
