google's mod_pagespeed

Chuck/whomever,

Can you glance over this and see if you find any reason it wouldn't work well, or work with photopost?

mod_pagespeed - Google

Not sure if you've seen it or tried it on a test system?

Thanks,
X

well cant really speak about it at depth but would this not be just another compressor like zend? At least thats really what it looks like.

Hey Chuck, I know you dont support it, probably don't use it, but I'm hoping someone can answer a best way to configure it or if it will even work. I've ran through a couple scenarios without image rewrites and I'm having issues still (not sure why).

I suppose it is like zend in some sense, but mostly it streamlines the output for web browsers and caches some content for delivery. Sounds like it would be really effective, but obviously i dont want it rewriting all the photopost images.

thanks

well I am merely saying I do not use it on my server and can not comment. I am sure others who might use it can chime in here. Just seems to me the little reading I did was that it compresses and cache page output kind of like zend.
