| Script / Thumbnail Issues
Chuck I am beyond frustrated !!!!
I am still having issues with my thumbnails.
When my members upload pictures a good percentage of them show ans x mark
or no picture but when u click on it it will than show the image on the next page.
You had me reset the permissions but I am having to reset the permissions just about every time a member uploads an image.
I called my host and they said it has nothing to do with them but rather the software could have a bug or the script is not correct.
Go figure... every one passes the buck and I can't seem to get to the bottom of what is going on !!!!!
Please help !

Well photopost is installed on over 40000 sites or more. I can tell you if a thumbnail is not being created it has to be a path or permissions issue or a problem with the image processor.
These are all server end things and nothing to do with the actual scripting.
You have a url and test login for upload?

Are these jpeg images as opposed to jpg
Maybe your servers image processor does not support jpeg which means you need to remove that as an allowable image type in upload options in admin
You can see I uploaded 2 images one in members gallery and one in the category you had an issue both seem fine.

Chuck,
from what I have learned....
jpeg is an extension of Mac
jpg is an extension of windows my servers image processor accepts both.
These are both the MOST common files!!!!
yes this time the image may have uploaded for you but
it is still happening occasionally and quite
frustrating.
I just uploaded a picture just fine and tried a second time with no
success.
I cannot remove jpeg or jpg as an allowable file.... that would make no sense at all. Why would any one upload anything but?

from what I see under your php information your GD2 settings say nothing about supporting the jpeg image type. Your GD2 supports jpg gif and png images. Your issue happens when you try to upload a jpeg image which is not common nowadays. any other image works so the only response I can give is remove jpeg.
we do not write the image processing software that is a SERVER LEVEL program and not every install supports all image formats.

Well tell me does that thumbnail exist in the path noted. If it does what is the permissions on that file. It should be 666 or 644 for it to be viewable. If the permissions are not that then most likely there is a server permissions issue your host might need to solve.
