Unknown locations

Often times when I view Who's Online and someone is in the photogallery(photopost integrated with vB4.03), I'll see that what they are looking at is an unknown location. If I click on the unknown location link, it is valid, it takes me to what they are viewing I don't get any page errors.

Is this an issue? Something that I can fix....easy fix it is an issue?

well i guess you might want to run the photopost plugin for vb 4.0 to include whos online routines in vbulletin.

The vbulletin code is outside our program code so things like that are done with mods or hacks as they are called.

So is it that vB just doesn't know how to interpret the activity of someone in the gallery and then throws out an "unknown location"?

Exactly

These are two completely separate applications.

vBulletin code concerns vb so its going to show locations it codes for its own script.

Our application which integrates with 20 different forums and is as a full featured application like any other has its own who's online and knows its locations.

Your vb is picking up locations it does not know about thats why its unknown location.

Using a vb mod like the one I posted there should help

Do you have a set line of code that only corrects the Who's Online variable?


I don't want the Main Page photo block in my forum nor that tab in ones profile.

Well that code is not released by our company. It's a modification to vbulletin that I wrote up so its not supported code. I suppose if you have further questions you could respond in the mod post so to keep the discussions in the proper place. However just off the top of my head if you only want say who's online routines and say the navbar link simpy turn off turn off the forumhome photo,members random image and member builds stats plugins in your vb plugin manager.

I ONLY want to correct the Who's Online issue, so I need input or the steps on what/how to do that.

Like I said you would have to apply that mod I sent you to. You can ask any questions about that mod in that specific thread since mods are not supported by the company.

I already explained how you can do what you wish in that mod in my last post. You simply would turn off the plugins you do not want running under your plugin manager in the vb admin.
