| Members Galleries only shows one letter (cookie issue)
I just upgraded from 7.01 to 7.02 by replacing just the new files and the new .htaccess
I then had two problems, one of which was --> if I clicked on members galleries and then a letter that had more than 12 members in it, I could only view the first page of the members in letter "s" for example. If I clicked on page two it would take me back to the second page of the main members gallery. That issue was fixed by following the instructions here: members galleries
and here: Issues with PP Pro Gallery
Now the only problem I have left is an issue with photopost setting a cookie. if I click on members galleries for the first time everything shows fine. Then if I chose a letter that displays fine but from there if I click on members galleries or view all I can still only see the letter that I first chose. If I clear my cookies everything is fine.
I followed the instructions here: Issues with PP Pro Gallery
But that didn't help. What else can I try in order to show all of the members galleries again after someone has clicked on a letter?
I have gone back and overwritten all of the files (except config files) with 7.02 files so everything should be the latest version with the exception of the changes mentioned above.
Thanks for any help?
Edit:
Here is a little more information after doing some more testing:
Chuck, this is happening on your site too.
If you clear your cookies and click on your members galleries, choose any letter, and then click back on your members galleries you will only see the letter that you clicked on previously.
However, if you then go into one of the members galleries and change the way their pictures are sorted the problem corrects itself for good.
Now for the other problem that you can't test on your site chuck since none of the letters under your members galleries have more than one page of members. When you clear your cookies and click on your members galleries and choose a letter that has more than one page you can scroll to the bottom of the page and click page two or three and it works fine. Then when you change the sort order of a member's gallery you will only be able to access the first page of the letter s from then on out.
These two problems seem to be interlinked somehow.

I beleive you missed one That should help
I checked my site for what you said but it works fine for me on my site I hit a letter and then hit members galleries I see all users. The fix above corrects the all missing in the template there to clear any cookie.

Chuck, I did that one. That is one of the posts I linked to. The key to seeing the error on your site is to first clear ALL of your cookies. I just tried your site in two different browsers and get the same thing.
Open a browser that you never use, clear all of the cookies for all time, go to your site. If you click on members galleries, choose a letter, and then try to click on members galleries again you can not. It will stay stuck on that letter.
Edit: The only way to get back to the members galleries from there is to either clear your cookies again or change the sort order options within a member's gallery itself.

That is the problem. Without that code there is a problem. With that code there is a different problem.
With that code added back in, you can click on a letter under members galleries and then back to the main members galleries page fine however when you add that code back in it causes another problem. Then you can't click on the second page of any letter that has more than 12 members with that letter for their username.
If you take the code out then you can click on page 2, 3, etc. of each letter but if your cookies are cleared like new members and guests you can not get back to the members galleries page after you click on a letter.
I hope that made sense?
I know you don't have any letters on your site with a page 2 but I can add that code back in and let you click on mine to see the problem. Currently I have that code you last linked to removed like it is on your site so if you clear your cookies and visit my galleries, click on a letter and then try going back to members galleries you can't. It will also do the same thing on your site right now once you clear your cookies to simulate a new member or visitor.

You can send an ftp account if you want me to take a look
The code I noted should not affect page navigation as it only clears the cookie when there is an empty pagenav

That would be great. Thanks for your help. I will PM you shortly...
Edit: I see you don't use PMs. Can you give me another way to contact you directly? Can I just use the contact us form here on the site?

Did you see anything that stood out to you Chuck?
I'm seeing two issues as it is right now:
1) I can't click on the second page of a letter in the member's galleries.
2) If I clear my cookies like it's the first time on the site and click on a letter in the member's galleries like that link in #1, I can no longer see the members galleries anymore. It will just stay on that letter or any other letter I choose. The only way to see the member's galleries again is to go into an album and change the way images are sorted at the bottom. From then on out problem number 2 doesn't exist anymore.
Thanks again for your time.
Mike

Yes, now you can see the second page of the members starting with the letter S for example. But the problem now is that if you click on the link showing those members with the letter S then you can't click back to the members galleries again. If you click on members galleries you will not be able to see anything but the last letter that you clicked on. It goes back to this problem: Members Galleries only shows one letter (cookie issue)
The reason the second issue is non consistent is because of cookies. If you clear your cookies you can recreate that error every single time even on your site. Once you choose to sort a member's gallery by decending or ascending for example and you click on "sort" that sets the cookie on your browser and from then on out you will not be able to recreate that error unless you clear your cookies again.

Here is what I am seeing now. It is a little more complicated this time so bear with me: With cookies cleared:
1. I click on a letter in the member's galleries and see it fine.
2. If the letter has more than one page of users starting with that letter I can click on any page (2,3,4,etc.) and see it fine too. If I click on a third page of that letter though, it redirects me back to the members galleries. It doesn't matter what page I click on first. If there are three pages of members starting with the letter S and I click on either page two or three I can see the correct page. Then if I click on the other page regardless of which one it is, it redirects to the corresponding page in the members galleries. If I click on page 3 the third time for example it will take me to page 3 in the members galleries instead of page 3 of that letter
3. If I click on a letter and then click back on the members galleries I still can only see that letter. Now though, if I click on members galleries a second time it actually takes me back to the members galleries page again like it should do the first time. Without cookies cleared
1. I click on a letter in the member's galleries and see it fine
2. If the letter has more than one page of users starting with that letter I can NOT view pages 2,3,4, etc. Clicking on the third page for example takes me back to page 3 of the main members galleries not the second page of that letter.
3. If I click on members galleries after clicking on a letter I can see members galleries like I should.

Here is what I am seeing now. I tried to Italicize what changed and dim out the rest: With cookies cleared: 1. I click on a letter in the member's galleries and see it fine. 2. If the letter has more than one page of users starting with that letter I can NOT view pages 2,3,4, etc. Clicking on the third page for example takes me back to page 3 of the main members galleries not the second page of that letter. 3. If I click on a letter and then click back on the members galleries I still can only see that letter. If I click on members galleries a second time it actually takes me back to the members galleries page again like it should do the first time. Now though after it does this one time I can click back and forth from members galleries to a letter and back fine. Previously, everytime I clicked on a letter I had to click on members galleries twice to see it instead of just the first time after I clear my cookies. Without cookies cleared 1.

| Member Galleries - Amphibious ATV Pictures
There is your members for k
If I click say the next page I get this type of link Member Galleries - Amphibious ATV Pictures
The cookie is still that is created when you hit the K link and I see results in the second page are 2 k members so it appears fine to me
In fact I have tried this with several letters and I can view alternate pages fine.
Lets try it again Member Galleries - Amphibious ATV Pictures
This page has 3 results.
I can click page 2 and page 3 and results are fine.
In fact the cookie that is created is not deleted except when you either click another letter or hit members gallery navlink or the all link both result in a url like this All Images - Amphibious ATV Pictures
The limit equals all is what clears the cookie.
Based on what I have posted here from what I am seeing the issue is resolved.
