most recent comment subcats

I seem to remember that in the previous version of PP the most recent comment block was displayed in the subcats.
What I would like to do is have a recent comments block in the category of all the sub cats for that category. I'm sure that's how it use to work... can anyone tell me how I can do this please?

You talking to the cat list in non vb4 display there is a last comment link for a cat.

Am I right in thinking that once you enter a category the latest comments are shown for that category and the subcats only ... that would be great if it did.

well our category display is meant to mimic the vb4 forum display

it would take a little bit of work to alter how that displays

well comment counts are shown on photos in the category display under each photo
