Missing Images when paging through Members' Galleries

We've been having reports of user's member galleries behaving oddly when they page through them. This isn't the case of all members - but there are quite a few of them that are experiencing issues. Here are some examples:

This member's Photo Gallery link redirects to the main member gallery:
DSP Member Gallery - Digital Scrapbook Place Gallery

Removing the "cat=500" from the URL seems to work:
- Digital Scrapbook Place Gallery
It shows that there are 1155 images in her gallery. But when you click on page 2, it changes to say there are only 43 pictures now.

Another example:
- Digital Scrapbook Place Gallery
It says there are 716 photos in her gallery. But when you click on page 2, it says "Images 16 to 7 of 7" and it doesn't show any pictures.

A similar example:
- Digital Scrapbook Place Gallery
It says there are 567 photos in her gallery. But when you click on page 2, it says "Images 16 to 12 of 12" and it doesn't show any pictures.

Here's another example:
- Digital Scrapbook Place Gallery
It says there are 177 photos in her gallery. But when you click on page 2, it goes to a link to a different category:
IOTW-Item of the Week Layouts - Digital Scrapbook Place Gallery
And it says "Images 16 to 6 of 6" and it doesn't show any pictures.

Are you using the latest code?

scrapster June 14th, 2010 02:57 PM

yes. version 7.02

Chuck S June 14th, 2010 05:07 PM

HMM I think I know why that is.

Your able to display certain categories as member categories so you need to pass that variable.

I will have to think of a possible work around

Just wondering if you've had any luck with fixing this yet?

Is there a temporary workaround we can use in the meantime so that our users can view their galleries?

Chuck S July 12th, 2010 05:04 PM

I believe this is something we already fixed

I would have to search for the other support thread.

Maybe you can send us an email through the contact us link and I will send you an updated showgallery script to see if that would help you.

Email sent.

no problem

scrapster July 13th, 2010 08:24 PM

We just tried using the showgallery.php file that you sent us and we're still having all the same problems that I identified in my original thread.

Chuck S July 13th, 2010 11:31 PM

Well are you electing to show all a users photos in the members gallery under show gallery options?

scrapster July 14th, 2010 08:16 AM

We had that setting set to "no". I just changed it to "yes" -- but it didn't fix anything. We're still having all the same problems.

Chuck S July 14th, 2010 08:39 AM

If you set it to yes it shows all a users photos. remember you just said even with the file I sent you you have the issue in your original post. I read your original post and it says about all a users photos not appearing in the members gallery so from what I see I have given you the proper answer.

So please really explain what your issue is.

scrapster July 14th, 2010 11:54 AM

I did change it to "yes" -- to show all the photos for a user. However, it still didn't work. It doesn't show all their photos. We can view page 1 -- but then when we click on the links to view the next pages, it doesn't show any.

Please see the links I included in my original thread post for examples. None of them are working.

scrapster July 14th, 2010 11:58 AM

The page links (1 - 2 - 3 - etc.) and the paging arrows ( >> )
seem to add an extra "cat-####" to the links. That's what's causing the problem. Removing that "cat-####" from the URL solves the problem.

Chuck S July 14th, 2010 12:45 PM

thanks will look into that

I thought we had yes

Have you redownloaded the build uploaded showgallery.php showmembers.php and the new HTACESS file renamed to .htaccess

scrapster July 29th, 2010 10:01 AM

The PhotoPost PHP Pro v7.02 build is: 6/2/10 4:58 PM
We upgraded to that version on 6/11/10 -- so we should have the newest files.

scrapster July 29th, 2010 10:27 AM

I tried changing the SEO setting back to "none" and I think that might have solved it. We're doing further testing now to make sure.
