Some of my users are complaining they get a no permission/register message even thou I have the permissions set correctly in Admin > PhotoPost Category Editor, anywhere else that it takes its permissions from ?

No category permissions should be absolute

I would have to see the error myself as in is it reproduceable?

You have the option in admin registration options that says users must be registered to view images set to yes.

Re: Access

On the general Hibs Chat forum I go into the thread "East Re-Build Pics", I then click on the part of the OP message which has 'Here' which is the link to the gallery. When I click on it, it gives me a message saying I dont not have permission to view to view the category.

Thanks
I have photo album linked on a thread.

Your issue is probally to do with some hard coded links you have in threads outside of our program. What are the links?

Thanks chuck the link is

EAST Stand Rebuild 2010. - HibeesBounce Gallery

I've checked the permissions and they seem ok, every tick is ticked for the usergroups at the section in admin

Usergroup Access Permissions*
Note: If you disable a usergroup's uploads or posts in the Usergroups panel, the category specific settings below won't have an effect for that usergroup.

*Allow Uploads? in usergroups is set to yes

well then your usergroups are not correct in category permissions.

I would suggest you under admin => edit usergroups refresh your usergroups from vb. Now remember we cache group settings that already exist so group names etc will not change on old groups. if you have renamed groups in vb and photopost has old names you may not be lining things up right possibly. Correct any group names as our usergroups are displayed numeric 1-100 etc

You can then reapply permissions. You can see your issue by narrowing things down by user seeing what group they belong to and checking in photopost say what usergroup 20 is set to etc.
