That whole thing is ajax which means you can click one of those links and load new photos without loading the page.
As stated your free to modify the display_gallery function to suit your specific needs but from a support perspective I have to respond based on how its coded by the products developer to function.
Even in your User demo and other customer galleries, the active block is not bold. Not only that, the active Most Recent block only has the Most Recent text. The Random block from PhotographyBlog Gallery is the same. It only writes Random.
I don't like modifying code, because when I upgrade, I lose all these modifications.
well I think thats a style issue me looking at a gallery because link colors style and a non link color can vary by style on the gallery I looked at there was a clear style difference between the links and non links
Your gallery should be working just like everyone elses you wanted to modify your lines to remove certain wording if I am not mistaken which is what this discussion was about modifying your code to suit you. Its not really a function or product support but if I have time as you know I post up little mods to assist people although company support is not provided for those little tidbits.
