Comment count on search display

We recently upgraded our gallery and now when anyone runs the 1day 7day 14day search, the results no longer show the comment count like they used to.

Another thing I have noticed is that it only shows 100 photos on the 1day search no matter how many have been added.

I can't seem where to find the spot(s) to fix these things. Any help is appreciated.

The search results are just that search results and show just like any other search page. All searches where effectively moved into search therefore removing a bug or issue as searchs like the ones you refer to where being performed in the showgallery script resulting in multiple urls in the product. Thus when releasing the SEO product we ensured only one url remains to a photo.

Sorry Chuck, I am not sure I understand. Each photo that is uploaded would have their own url so if I have 250 people upload photos today shouldn't my search show 250 results and not cap it at 100?

Concerning the comment count for each photo result. Is it because now it's a search rather than a "showphoto" function that the comment count no longer show? Is there a way to show the comment count in those results?

They cap at 100 because you have your maximum search results to return in admin set to 100.

Yes because everything is handled in search script as it should it does not display as a mock category result using the showgallery script like it did in older versions.

back to the other question asked in this thread that I am curious about too - on the format of the new "search" format....

is there a way to get back the "# of comments" and also "# of views" when images are show on the search results page. Our members really miss this as we try to pick up layouts in the "last day" let's say that have 0 comments and give them some <3 - now we can't do it as easily!

There is no way to add stuff in without you actually coding that in. We support the features as the developer codes the application. Search's have been coded to use search.php well over a year or more now. There is no way to revert to use other scripts. For the application to move forward and actually use SEO and have unique urls etc you can not revert code to old functionality.
