How to change header.htm to header.php?

Hello,

I need more PHP functionality in my header.htm and now like to switch it to header.php. Where can I find the include command for the header.htm in the sourcecode?

well you can rename header.htm to header.php and at the top of the file place this

Content visible to verified customers only.

your html goes in the middle

at the bottom of the file place this

Another question: Is there any variable which contains the number or name of the actual category?

In showfull.tmpl you give me the advice to use $dbcat. But it seems it doesn't work in the header or footer.

showfull is a java window you cant use script variables
