| Problem rebuilding thumbnails
Hi Chuck, I get the following error if I try to rebuild a thumbnail using the Photo Options:
"/usr/bin/X11/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 0x100 -quality 90 -geometry 0x100 '/home/my_domain/public_html/gallery/data/709/thumbs/Visiting_The_Carracks.jpg'
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Chuck, I thought I copied the entire line, but clearly haven't.
I'll have to wait until I can replicate this once again.
I do have a strange problem going on and wonder if you can throw some light on it please.
Some user are complaining that their albums have been removed but they are still available.
Let me explain.
If you go to members gallery and look through the members albums there is only just a few. Quite a lot of the members albums don't show up. You can filter by choosing the first letter of the user name but their albums still don't show up. You can search by user name and still non of the albums show up.
However, if you search by all categories you'll find the users albums that did not previously show up.
Even odder than that, if you look at the url it clearly shows the showgallery.php/ppuser/238/cat/500 and that also agrees with the PhotoPost breadcrumbs. So these albums are in the members gallery after all.
I've checked the albums and they aren't set as private. There is no user group or user restrictions either.
Just to add to the odd situation. One user has missing images (possible deleted by an admin not sure yet) but in any case, they have pictures that are showing that need to be approved, yet no pictures in admin need approval.
Can you help please.

Have you tried going to admin => scan database and running the rebuild members last photo option?
Approved photos have you tried finding out what category they are in and viewing the category under approve photos?

Hi Chuck, no I haven't tried this yet. I'm just backing up the file directory and database and then I'll give it a go and post back here.
Regards,
Steff

Hi Chuck... forgot how long it takes to back up 75000 files lol
Anyway, just started the database scan and although its likely to take several hours, it has already yielded some good results initially with some of the missing albums coming to view in the members gallery. However, looking in the albums I can see that some of the pictures contained belong to other members and have the wrong name awarded to them.
For instance. member mugsy has his album now visible and contains pictures except that some of the pictures that say they are mugsy actually belong to another member called John and Sandra.
As I said earlier that scan is still going so I should let it finish first. However, I thought I should bring this to the pool for discussion.
Ok... the database scan has just finished and the photo's are still out of user name sync

well with that said have you recently switched an integration?
I mean photos are not going to belong to other users without good reason.

Not since last September. The only significant installation that could have a bearing on this is the installation of VBseo. But as far as I know it does nothing with PhotoPost.

I'm now looking through the albums to see how wide spread this is. There are a lot of albums so it might take a while. At the end of this I will know how many pictures are under the wrong user name. If there isn't many I can change them manually but if it's wide spread I will need your assistance.

well if you changed integrations then this is most likely your issue as its not really something easily done and if you miss something then something like this can happen because userid's change

| What I meant by saying that the last integration change was September was that that was when we migrated to PhotoPost and VB3 from Coppermine and SMF nothing has been changed since.

Chuck, I'm finding a pattern that leads me to believe that I should be looking at questioning my admins. The name change has only affected a group of members that we know are always uploading photos with minimal information for title and description. We have a holding category and I'm finding a a lot of pictures in here with the wrong names. This area is only available to admins and therefore I'm beginning to wonder if the names are accidentally being changed whilst editing the title and descriptions.
Sounds like re-training is on the cards for them.
Sorry to raise the alarm on this.
The unauthorised pictures were authorised correctly after doing so within the members category.
Thanks again.
