Show Last Comments column on Index?

In the 'index option' part of the admintools, there's this Show Last Comments column on Index? option. I enabled it, but I don't get a column in the gallery index where the latest comments are shown.

Where do you get to see the last comments and how does that supposed to look like?

Do you have permissions set up in admin options that users can post comments?

Yes, everyone (besides banned members) are able to comment on pictures.

How does that 'latest comments' column suppose to look like? I hope it's not the same as that 'latest comments' [u[block[/u]?

I wanted to know somtehing simulair, in gallery view you have it all nice with number of comments under the thumbnail. I would like that view on the gallery index page, also when you view like last 7 days i need that to be the same also. And then not show the categorie listing on the index. Is that Possible ?

tcb if I visit your gallery you have your category permissions set so guests can not view ANY content in your gallery just an FYI

The category index always displays on the index

You can only turn on or off the sidebar content.

for one with the search it almost looks like that, but there isn't all the indormation, like the comments in the box under the thumbnails arent there. What i wanted to know was if it was possible to show it like in the thumbnail on both the search and index

On this page I can see a 'last comments' column on the gallery index page: SurferMag Community Photo Gallery - Main Index - Powered by PhotoPost

How can I make this possible with my site? I did enable it in the adminpanel (like mentioned above).

When I disable the 'Do you want to enable the vB3 Integration which uses your vB3 headers, footers and styles?' option, I see the column. But it disappears as soon as I enable the function (bringing back my vbulletin integrated style).

Innertraveler is a site using an old photopost. The way search works is how it works on the site I noted and on your site because this is how it works in 7.01. 7.01 has the SEO features and all searches need to be handled through search. There can not be multiple urls to categories and photos for SEO to work.

tcb I cant view your site to suggest anything but the site you note is a default photopost setup. You have to allow comments and under index options you elect to show the last comments column. Thats the long and short of it.

You would have to post a test login for someone to see your content so we can see what you have set incorrectly.

But why is the 'latest comments column' showing when I tick off the vb3-styles integration (see post 12), and why does it disappear when I enable it?

Of course I enabled the option to show the column in the first place (see post 1).

Everyone but unregistered are allowed to post comments.

I don't see that 'latest comments' column on your gallery index. Did you manage to get it to work? I think it's just not possible, despite my settings?

Does anyone has this column enabled (and visible) with the vbulletin style integrated (as with Chuck's site)?

Ah okay your running vb4. That is because vb4 has a specific coded categories template based completedly on the vb4 forum layout.

A community photo gallery - ReefTalk Gallery

My site does not show a latest comments td

Ok so far i get it. But on reefertalk what you showed me the search at least had the comment there. As you can see on my site it only shows user and date, not sure why i assume you would have the same photopost version as i got or am i mistaken ?
