Search on Keywords

I found a way to create a contest winners leader board.

I created a spreadsheet in Excel with all the user names, then columns of the contest wins as in POTW, POTM, POTQ etc

Then I went to each of the users photos who have won in 2010 and added keywords like POTW-username1, POTM username1, POTW-username2 and so on.

So since I remember being able to paste an Excel spreadsheet directly into an email and seeing it created all the html code automatically, I tried the same in a vBulletin forum post. It worked, all code was there to lay out the columns, rows etc with the user names and totals.

So, I then did a search via Photopost for each of the members that have won POTW-username1
and I used that search result url to link to each of the counts of wins.
Members can then click on the # of wins for that member and see a list of thumbnails of winning photos.

See link

What I thought would happen, is each time I add another keyword to one of those user names future contest wins, that same search link would pick up the new win adding a 6th win for that user.

But instead it only picked up the 5 wins I had done the search on originally.

Is there a way I can modify that search to pick up all new wins whenever I add key words to future member wins?

A search is going to pick up results based on your search criteria

Like if I search POTW I get this

Search - BytePhoto Galleries

So really what results are returned depends on what you search for

If I search say this POTM-2009 then I get 8 results

Search - BytePhoto Galleries

That seems right to me

2009 POTY Finalists - BytePhoto Galleries

So really whats returned depends on what term you search with. The more specific the less results

thanks Chuck. I knew that part
What I was trying to figure out, if I created the search url and placed it on that forum post, every time someone clicks that forum post for example, ISpy wins '5'.
Search - BytePhoto Galleries

If that search id stays at 8050
Then next time user name Ispy wins a contest, I give his photo a key word of POTW-ISpy and manually change the number in the table to 6.
Someone clicks on that link again that has the id of 8050, and they only see 5 wins, not his 6th win.
Right now I dont have the 6th win set up.
But for user id Eslwinshot, when he won #2, I had to redo a search on POTW-Eslwinshot
and change the search id to the new number so it showed 2 of his wins instead of only the 1st one.

Didnt know if there was a way to not have to change the search id every time I add new key words to a users photos.

Each search id is unique and search results are only retained for the period specified in admin panel search options.

ok, found it.
It was set at 7 days
So this means the search id 8050 link that I place in that forum post, will only work for 7 days?
If that is the case, I better set it to at least 1 year.
