Sub Categority Albums

Hello there, Chuck and everyone else.

I wanted to ask about Category Albums. I cannot currently see how to create these. Category Albums are just simply a Category in a Category, or a Subcategory. These allow you to have an initial Category "Amateur Models" for instance and within that Category, "Blonde Models" along with "Brunette Models". Both of these Albums (Blonde & Brunette, within Amateur Models" would have their own, separate thumbnails that once clicked, would take you further into the Blonde or Brunette Models, which of course would be unique Albums separating both content types.

This is really important and seems a basic on programs like Coppermine and Gallery. Hoping I can get this too? Any step by step help?

Also - It would be nice if, (baring the above in mind), the main page
with the initial Categories, could display the last photo dates of the subcategory/albums inside it. I.E - After uploading a photo inside the 'Blonde Models' Album (which is located inside the first, 'Amateur Models Category'), the Amateur Models Category gets updated with the photo upload, even though they were not directly uploaded into the Amateur Models thread, but the one inside it, entitled 'Blonde Models'.

Hopefully I am able to get through to you here - It can be tricky explaining these things sometimes as I'm sure you're well aware.

not sure what you mean by category albums but there are two ways to create albums or categories as subcategories.

1. You can create whatever subcategories you wish under admin edit categories just hit the create subcat link

2, You can under manage albums create whatever albums you wish and assign them to specific categories if you wish to use personal albums

Remember our product is not Coppermine so not everything is going to work exactly as that applications does.

Hello Chuck - Thanks for getting back to me.

I am currently creating a Celebrity Photo Archive with Photopost. When someone clicks on the first category, I want this to show a series of Celebrity Albums, each with a different Celebrity Name. Once someone clicks into that Celebrities name, they are then taken to their specific Photo section.

Sure why not simple create parent category and then assign subcats to it based on name thats all under admin edit categories.
