| Slideshow not working / permissions?
Except for the webmaster (me), folks can't seem to view the slideshow. Users are told "You do not have permission to view the images in this category." I looked in the admin system and everything looked fine for the usergroup and categories. Any ideas?

have you set category permissions under admin edit categories so all groups you wish to see the images can view them?

Yes - permissions are set up correctly, and the user can view the images individually, but the slideshow itself won't start up due to permissions...?

You can place a link etc for us to test but I am not seeing any issues here
You can see for yourself there is a default 7.01 ReefTalk Gallery Slide Show - ReefTalk Gallery |

Here's the link - I have it configured so that anyone can do it (even non-registered). It will tell you that you have to register.
It works for me as Webmaster.
I tested it with a special usergroup I set up a long time ago (Supporters), and that user group does show up in the pp admin for editing categories, and they are selected. Zim talking to Me - Cephalopod Image Gallery |

You must be registered to use this feature.
You are electing people to have to register Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Ok - can you specify where in the admin area that setting can be controlled? Sure seems like I have it set correctly there. Thanks-

That would be impossible if you truly commented it out Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
try making the code this instead you will see on my site that works fine

OK, I used your code, and now it says "You do not have permission to view the images in this category." This happens in every category I try to view a slideshow with.
Member Galleries are disabled on my site. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Very well could make a difference if the photos your trying to view are in the members gallery Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Basically its coming back saying guests dont have permission to view images in whatever category on whatever photo its stopping on
You need to set permissions accordingly. If you wish guests to view things then you need to open things up to them.

OK, got it. I think I was confused about what Member Galleries are. I have enabled permissions for that category, but only for registered users, etc. (I actually don't want unregistered users to be able to view the slideshow). I've undone the changes to slideshow.php -- everything is now working as I want it to be. Thanks for your help as usual!

| Well it started as a custom usergroup problem, but to be complete about it I set it up so that unregistered was also assigned to see it, and it still didn't work... that's what had me scratching my head in there. All is well now!

yeah the thing about custom groups you need to refresh the groups from vb into photopost and then set permissions all around.
