phpBB3 - PhotoPost Integration

Hello,

We had phpbb2 and PhotoPost 5.21 working together flawlessly for years. Recently upgraded to phpBB3 and also to PhotoPost 7.01

Unfortunately, the folks that did the phpBB3 update didn't understand the tie in between it and PhotoPost and changed stuff like cookie names and SQL db names and passwords.

I THINK I have everything correct now between the two in the config files, yet, they will not work together. Log into one, it logs you out the other. I can not even get into PhotoPost admin panel to see if I missed anything.

However, I can easily access both the phpBB3 and PhotoPost SQL db.

So my question is...

What db fields in PhotoPost db must match which fields in phpBB3 db for these two to work together??

It almost acts like a cookie problem, yet I think I have all the cookie information correct.

Any and ALL help, suggestions, tips appreciated!

Thank you

You have to run the install script and install photopost to integrate with phpbb3 this is an entirely different integration from phpbb2 so if your still using the phpbb2 integration thats why it does not work

at any rate installing and specifying all the correct information should solve your issue.

Oh, OK, well that could be it because I followed the instructions and ran the upgrade script instead.

So, you say I should just upload the install script and run that?

Question. Will running the install script trash our existing photos, categories, votes, etc???

And if the answer is yes... is there ANYWAY around this. Even if that means manually editing the db file and creating any support files to upload? I really do not wish to lose our existing data.

Running install will not trash anything as long as in the photopost database config portion you dont change anything. If your photopost database and table prefix is the same all your doing is essentially updating settings.

Thank you Chuck. Got it all taken care of. When I ran the install script, it returned a page full of error messages, but I think that was due to it trying to create db tables that already existed. Once finished, everything worked great again.
