New user Question - PhotoPost vs. vB Albums

I just installed PhotoPost PHP Pro for the first time on a vBulletin 4.0.1 CMS suite site. As you know, vB includes a full User Album subsystem now. Being new to both scripts, I find it confusing from an end user point of view to have two apparent gallery systems. How can I best turn off the vBulletin system? I have already made tabs on the top for the Photo Post section, so that is easy.

Will going to the vB ACP and in the User Profile Options unchecking the Albums box in Enabled User Profile Features kill all built in vB album stuff and allow the PhotoPost stuff to work fine?

Thanks!

vbulletin albums is merely that a place users can have some photos in there profile.

You can not make categories for users to upload to. It is not a community gallery and lacks all the features of a gallery script so really there is no comparison.

To turn off that little vb albums thing I beleive you go into your vb admin settings under profile options and UNCHECK the box for albums under which features you want active under the vb profile.

That should do it.

Chuck - Oh, I completely agree that the built in Albums thing is really a joke, which is why I bought PhotoPost Pro. Just want to make sure my users do not get confused (due to teh nature of my site, I have over 50% users that are over 60 years old...so tech stuff gets a bit confusing)

You should be able to turn it off how I said. I beleive thats how I did it on my site.
