I am not sure what your trying to report

A community photo gallery - ReefTalk Gallery

Those little icons on the index page I show they point to the right places.

I found the problem, its was a browser issue. After checking your website, I found it working okay in IE but not FF. I updated to 3.6 in FF and installed the correct add-on for RSS and it's all working properly now.

rss feeds issue

Thats not what he said

Auto Pictures - Wallpapers Gallery

I dont see anything wrong with your rss script. Your pointing to a title all your pics have the same title so not sure what your trying to say here.

You can also compare your external script with the latest code just to see if yours matches what is in our download.

Chuck,

Sorry but its really frustrating explaining issues to you man...

Don't you see anything wrong when you hover over the TITLE LINKS??? CHECK THE SCREENSHOT. Same title doesn't mean anything, they are different pictures and with different IDs.

Go to the site and HOVER over the title links, thats NORMAL?

YES I HAVE LATEST FILE, I replaced it TWICE!

Titles on the rss feed are not links at all in our code.

We dont make or define any links for the titles they are simply that a straight title no link in the code

There is the line in the rss script

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Your titles aren't links for me

Well, I am trying to parse the rss feed using rss feed parser so I can display it on a webpage, not nessarily in a rss feed reader.

The external.php use to have links for titles and thumbs, as I am running here:

Defense Talk | Aerospace Defence News - Forum - Military Pictures of Air Force Army Navy This is external.php from older version of PP.

I KNOW that 7.0 version's external.php does not have title as links, but how do I enable that so I don't have to pay a coder to help me code that in?

You would have to code up such a thing in that file. To my knowledge have you tried comparing some older external.php file to the newer one. I am not aware of our file every having titles as links. The photo link has always been the actual photo.

Well, I am running older version of the file and it has the titles linked...

Why are the titles not linked? Whats the SEO/SEF philosophy behind that?

well have you compared your files between versions. I dont every remember titles being linked as far as I am aware the code has always been for title as posted in post 31

The rss script has nothing to do with SEO

Yeah, here is the old file:

The old file works fine as far as title links are concerned by it does not parse SEO url settings...

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Here is the new file:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

I dont see anywhere in that file that we parse the title as a link. In fact the $title lines are identical in both files so nothing has changed as far as the title that I can see with your example.

its something else that makes your title a link its not in the code your showing.

The only difference in the code your posting is the two lines that use construct_newppurl lines

So, why is one file parsing the titles correctly and other isn't? The newer file doesn't even parse the titles, it just says "resource id" when you hover over the link title.

Here is full code from both old and new file, old:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
New file

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

well to be able to respond really what do you mean by parsing titles?

As I have said repeatedly the rss code the title SHOULD NOT be a link. Never was intended to be a link and from what I see is not a link. Now there really is not much of a difference between the two but see if this helps you

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Thanks. I've already tried and that it displays the title url as:

autotalk.com/pictures/showproduct.php for all titles/links.

It would be really helpful if titles can be linked as well and show seo url like the thumbnails do.

Thank you!
