Question Need HTML/CSS suggestion

Hello,

at the moment, I have PhotoPost centered with a width of 850px. With a simple <h1> in the PhotoPost-Header and some other informations in the PhotoPost-Footer. The PotoPost-Headtags file is empty. Not very nice.

I need a real design for my website like this: A header part with some informations and the name of the website. On the left site a 100px fixed column for navigation and on the right side the 850px content column for PhotoPost.

I try this example but not very lucky. Does anyone have some simple example html-codes (code snippet) ready to put in the PhotoPost-Header, -Footer and -Headtags sections? Would be great, because otherwise I will spend hours to find the right trick.

Could be also a table design, perhaps even more simply to implement.
Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards,
Frank

why not use the photopost sidebar as your sidebar? You can add some pals to it.

You simply would wrap a table around the application at say width of 950px and leave photopost 100% to fill your table.

Close the table in your footer

Thank you, here is what I have done --> click

Problems now:

1) The menu bar with "Admin · Home · Suchen · Userliste · Profil · Upload" is centered, but could be wider. What can I do?

2) The menu bar with search and other informations is centered above the categories. Should be wider too. Any idea where to adjust? In PhotoPost?

3) The statistics are shown under the categories. I want to switch this off, because I have the statictics pal activated. But where?

4) In the categories view you found the "who is online" and "subscribe" links/informations. I want to switch this off, but where?

5) And last not least: How can I create and configure a "pal" to show my menu structure and external links?

Thank you -very much- in advance.

Most other technical things are okay. I get used to PhotoPost, very nice software. Licenced a 2nd version.

Kind Regards,
Frank

well I would ask why are your boxes so small thats not coming from us

I can tell you your sidebar width appears empty?

You can create a pal by editing one of the custom pal templates

something has to be amiss with your html

Sorry, I know html, but not much practice in the last years, especially with tables. Because of this I asked after small & ready to use code snippets from you that work. With the appropriate PhotoPost configuration.

Frank okay but we cant design your site for you Example of a table to put in your header

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
and in your footer this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Now thats just a basic 950 wide table to constrain photopost in.

I can make a standard website for you. But integrating PhotoPlog is another thing. I would like to have some samples.

But I'll try you version, mostly the same as mine.

PhotoPlog? Thats not our product

All I am saying is something in your specific code is causing your issues seen on your site. If you remove your code things should display fine. Just make sure whatever html your putting around the application is XHTML valid.

No, I used nearly the same table-code as in your code-example above. But this is not very nice.

Okay, if there are no good working examples, I have to find it out by myself. No Problem, it only costs time. I think I will deactivate the left side pals and use a table design with two colums, left navigation, right PhotoPost.

You can look at almost 30000 examples of photopost online and almost every last one is wrapped in a table. Just find a design you like and view the page source.
