help needed with SEO friendly urls

I just upgraded to pp 7.0. When I try to click on anything withing the pp script it redirects me back to the main index page.

I had changed the spider friendly urls to seo. If i change it back to spiders it shows up properly.

Please instruct me as to what steps i need to accomplish in order to maintain the seo url function.

**As a side note, when I upgraded from 6.2 to 7.0 I couldnt find an upgrade manual. So I assumed that after uploading i just needed to run the upgrade.php... once i did that it said the upgrade.php needed deleted to continue. I deleted it but that was it, from all i could tell.

UPDATE - I updated the .htaccess file and I think that fixed it. It is letting me click through to see photos. Would you still explain that a little more Chuck.

To use the SEO urls you need the HTACCESS file renamed to .htaccess as noted in the upgrade instructions.

You appear to be running fine now.
